From the next academic year (2014/15) the Cardiff School of
Journalism, Media and Cultural Studies (JOMEC) will offer two new
postgraduate degrees in the field of digital media.
The MA Digital Media and Society will explore the role of new media in
shaping and transforming society. It will address issues such as
citizen journalism, internet activism, online politics, digital
surveillance, internet governance, creative industries, and
participatory digital culture. Applications are now open for entry in
September 2014.

The MSc Computational Journalism focuses on the development of
knowledge and skills in digital journalism, data science, computer
coding and digital development. It will be offered in collaboration
with the Cardiff School of Computer Science & Informatics (COMSC).
