Join OWP for a Day of Celebrating Literacy! 

The Oklahoma Writing Project invites you to attend the annual Spring Celebration of Writing for Students and Teachers. Each teacher may bring 5 students per adult. Oklahoma City University does require those on campus to wear masks.   Parents and student teachers are welcome, too. Register soon. Spaces will be limited! 


This year, the OWP Conference will host elementary track and a secondary track. 

Elementary winners will have their own sessions specifically for them while secondary students will get to hear published poet Naomi Shihab Nye.

12:15 Conference is Concluded/Schools may lunch on their own All winners from the OWP “Write to Win” contest are encouraged to attend. These winning students will have an opportunity to meet with the judges of the contest for discussion about pieces. During the celebration, the 2020 Write to Win Award winners will be recognized and share excerpts from his/her winning writing.  All participants staying for this portion of the conference may receive a copy of the 2022 Write to Win Anthology.  Parents may attend Write to Win Celebrations at no cost.
