I can’t participate. Good news: the final estimate for the antenna tower work is in and going through the process to release the funds. This means we’ll need to assemble the new antennas we have. There will be money left over to spend. I suggest we acquire an LP-100A, a digital vector power meter. They’re about $600 I think we’ll have enough left over to get one. It is much more accurate than any d’Ardonval metering system with a digital bar-graph display.
Some news: Mark Kleine and I did some inspection of the shack: the D-Star machine needs a new Linux kernel and he was here to do that. We decided to go out on the roof to inspect the D-Star repeater antenna because the repeater itself had become both deaf and dumb.We found that the D-Star repeater antenna had come down and, somehow, the coax has been disconnected. We're hoping that the transmitter has fold-back protection and wasn't damaged by the mismatch and that the mismatch didn't return enough power to the receiver to damage the front end (duplexer
