Join us this summer (July 20-24) for a week of writing, community, and creative learning.
We will gather daily on the University of Oklahoma campus where young writers will be immersed in creative writing opportunities facilitated by of OWP Teacher Consultants. Together, we will explore generative possibilities, a variety of writing genres, (e.g., poetry, fiction, creative nonfiction), and writing for publication. The days will include engaging presentations, writing groups, exploring the campus via writing marathons, and lots and lots of joyful writing.
Date: July 20-24, 2026Time: Monday-Thursday 9am-3pm; Friday 9am-1pm

2 day workshop to strengthen Reading/Writing practices

OWP is coming to Southeast Oklahoma!
OWP will be hosting a 2 Day Literacy Lab.
Teachers will strengthen reading/writing instructional strategies with students.

OWP is partnering with Moore Public Schools to host a 2 Day Literacy Lab for any teacher in the surrounding area.
Elementary teachers will strengthen reading/writing instructional strategies with students.
Location: Moore High School, College and Career Center, 300 N. Eastern Ave. Moore, OK 73160.
Participants will collaborate to connect pieces of Science of Reading with best practices from the Oklahoma Writing Project.
