Greetings, fellow writers:
The OWFI Writers' Conference is coming up, April 30-May 2. This year,
it's going to be held at the new Embassy Suites Hotel in Norman, which
is certainly convenient for us. For those of you with completed
manuscripts lurking in your flash drives, print 'em out and get ready
because major editors and agents are going to attend. The conference
is scheduling individual appointments with these folks, and this is
your opportunity to network.
A sampling:
There will be literary agents from Writers House and Curtis Brown
Agency.
There will be editors from HarperCollins and Tyndale House.
There will be someone from Hollywood, and there are many other
editors, agents, and book doctors attending.
The banquet speaker will be bestselling thriller author Tess Gerritsen.
The date for early registration has passed. Conference registration
for all days is $175. You can opt to pay for one day's attendance for
$70. Consider that you won't have any travel expenses and this is a
superb opportunity to meet agents and editors from major New York
firms. For more information, go to owfi.org and see what else this
excellent conference has to offer.
Write on!
