Fun Filled week ahead,

Turnout for the pre-thanksgiving dance wasn't as high as projected. Oh well. We'll be reviewing all material covered, so if you didn't make it or were already comatose from an early thanksgiving stuffing, no worries.

Who: Sooner Ballroom Dance Club and You!
What: 3rd lesson of Tango, Cha-Cha and Hustle
When: Tuesday Nov 22nd 6:30 pm
Where: OU Student Union, Scholars Room, 3rd floor
Why: Meet new people, learn new things, and have fun. Why else?

The Scholars room is on the 3rd floor of the Union building, on the North end between the Parking Garage and the Ballroom. It is carpeted, so soft soled shoes or heavy socks are highly recommended. Really, any kind of shoe without heavy tread or sticky soles will work.

The dance at Kongo's two Fridays ago had decent turnout. It's a different dance experience and we're going to try to head out there one more time before Winter Break. Mark your calendars for Friday Dec. 9th for a dance party at Kongo's.

We will be hosting open dancing in the East Atrium of Sarkeys Energy Center on Friday the 2nd from 8pm to 10pm. There is no charge and no obligation, just fun.

The fabulous, exceptional, 3rd annual Winter Ball is this Saturday, Dec. 3rd starting at 7pm. There will be an hour long beginners lesson and dancing will begin at 8pm. The Joe Cotton Jazztet will be entertaining you with live dance stylings for the evening, supplemented during the breaks with our extensive CD collection.

Tickets will be on sale tomorrow at the meeting and every day this week from 10am-2pm on the 1st floor of the Union. Today, stop by crossroads to see our booth. The rest of the week, we will be outside the Union Bookstore as advertised. If none of these times work for you, drop by the dancing Friday as the full compliment of ticketting services will be on call at that time. Tickets are $6/person and $10/couple before hand and $8 at the door. If you have paid dues twice this semester, you are considered a member in good standing and will receive a free ticket and the option to purchase a second for $5 (for those of you in the dating crowd or just into saving money).

The list of helpers for set up and tear down is already submitted. However, we will need people to volunteer 15 minutes of their time during the dance to stay out front and take tickets. Please let me know if you'd be so kind to stand door duty and your prefered time.

Hope everyone is doing well andable to come have a good time before the semester is at an end. Thanks again, everybody and see you soon,
Patrick Macklin
