Hi everybody,
Your humble presiding executive of dance reporting in for a brand new semester. I'm excited and already behind on homework. Some things change and some things stay the same.
At any rate, we have some dance news for you. We will be continuing hosting open dancing on Friday nights in the Sarkeys East Atrium. The first one is this Friday, Jan 20 at 8pm so come on out, see old faces make new friends and dance for free.
And who could forget the extraodinary-yet-predicted return to our dance instruction. Starting one week from today on Tuesday, Jan 24th at 6:30 pm in the Scholars room of the Union, we will be hosting beginning dance lessons in Fox-Trot, Rumba and Swing. We will also have intermediate instruction in topics unknown by the charming and erudite Candi Boone starting at 8pm. Open dancing for all ages, temperments and experience levels will last until we get thrown out.
This session will last for 5 weeks before we start in on new dances. The cost for all 5 weeks is still $15 for students and $20 for non-students. If you are attending for the first time, we welcome you to try our lessons before paying. Everyone else is encouraged to pay dues as promptly as possible.
Our room schedule for this semester is as follows:
1/24/2006 6:30 PM 10:00 PM Scholars
1/31/2006 6:30 PM 10:00 PM Reg. & Assoc.

2/28/2006 6:30 PM 10:00 PM Scholars
3/7/2006 6:30 PM 10:00 PM Scholars
3/21/2006 6:30 PM 10:00 PM Scholars
3/28/2006 6:30 PM 10:00 PM Scholars
4/4/2006 6:30 PM 10:00 PM Scholars
4/11/2006 6:30 PM 10:00 PM Scholars
4/18/2006 6:30 PM 10:00 PM Scholars
4/25/2006 6:30 PM 10:00 PM Scholars
5/2/2006 6:30 PM 10:00 PM Scholars
All rooms are in the Union on the 3rd floor between the Ballroom Proper and the Union Parking Garage, on the North end of the building. These rooms are carpeted. I recomend wearing shoes with soft soles or heavy socks. Tennis shoes increase the change of personal injury and dancing at less than full potential.
