Hi all,

It's a bright and chilly Monday morning and time to start thinking out how you gonna dance.

That's right, starting tomorrow night, we have an all new entire semester of dance lessons coming your way. We kick things off with beginner lessons in Foxtrot, Swing and Rumba tomorrow night at 6:30. At 8pm we have an intermediate lesson with Candi Boone. At 9pm we have open dancing lasting just as long as we like. In bullet point format:

Who: Sooner Ballroom Dance Club and You!
What: 1st Lesson of Foxtrot, Swing and Rumba
When: Tuesday Jan 24th 6:30 pm
Where: OU Student Union, Scholars Room, 3rd floor
Why: Meet new people, learn new things, and have fun. Why else?

The last details for those of you who may not know: The Scholars room is on the 3rd floor of the Union building, on the North end between the Parking Garage and the Ballroom. It is carpeted, so soft soled shoes or heavy socks are highly recommended. Really, any kind of shoe without heavy tread or sticky soles will work.

Dues are $15 for students and $20 for non-students. That lasts for five weeks during which time you will completely learn the basics for the three dances being taught. There is only one fee every five weeks; if you pay for beginning, you can stay for intermediate. If you pay of intermediate, you can come to beginning as well. If this will be your first time dancing with us, you can try your first lesson risk free and pay the next week, but only if you enjoyed yourself! If you are returning to dance with us, we ask that you come prepared to pay at your first lesson.

We also host open dancing on Friday nights in the Sarkeys East Atrium at 8pm. This event is free of charge for everyone, always. Sarkeys is the big red brick building on the corner of Jenkins and Boyd and the East Atrium is the common area down the hall from the cafe on the first floor.

That's all for this week. Stay tuned for future updates and information.
Sincerely,
Patrick Macklin
