So, hmm, looking at the clock here . . . Happy Tuesday.
Sorry about lateness. At least you'll hopefully still get it before the lesson tonight.
The drill is beginner lessons in Foxtrot, Swing and Rumba tomorrow night at 6:30. At 8pm we have an intermediate lesson with Candi Boone. At 9pm we have open dancing lasting just as long as we like. 5, count em 5 w's:
Who: Sooner Ballroom Dance Club and You!
What: 3rd Lesson of Foxtrot, Swing and Rumba
When: Tuesday Feb 7th 6:30 pm
Where: OU Student Union, Regeants and Associates Rooms, 3rd floor
Why: Meet new people, learn new things, and have fun. Why else?
The last details for those of you who may not know: The rooms for this week are on the 3rd floor of the Union building, on the North end between the Parking Garage and the Ballroom. We're just across the hall from where we were the first week. It is carpeted, so soft soled shoes or heavy socks are highly recommended. Really, any kind of shoe without heavy tread or sticky soles will work.
We will also be continuing our free and open dancing with a mini-lesson this friday. Many of you came out and tried out first mini-lesson last friday and shattered our attendence record for a Friday Dance. I believe a goodly amount of fun was had by all. We hope to continue that upward trend this friday at 8pm in the Sarkeys Energy Center East Atrium.
WHO: All y'all!
WHAT: FREE dance, FREE merengue mini-lesson (taught by Henry or someone Henry-esque)
WHERE: Sarkeys Energy Center (tall red brick tower, Boyd & Jenkins),
in the basement, in the Atrium behind the elevators
WHEN: This coming Friday (Feb 3)
Mini-lesson 8:00pm, dancing until 10:00pm
WHY: To have fun!
HOW: Just show up ....
Mark you calendars for Thursday, April 13th as the date for the Spring Ball, our 3rd Annual Moonlit Masquerade. Plan on a beginning at 7pm in the Ballroom of the Union. More (much more) on this to be coming out in the future.
That's all for now. Thanks again to everyone for coming out and supporting us, it wouldn't be so fun without YOU.
