This is Erin, here to answer some questions I've been getting about plans
for this weekend:
1) We are, indeed, going out to Sin City tomorrow night (Friday). This event
IS an official club outing, which means that we HIGHLY recommend that you
come out with us, brush up your dance skills, socialize, and above all have
fun. It'll be from 7 pm until 9 pm, with a $5 cover, and Sin City is at 1021
12th Avenue, near the 12th/Robinson intersection. Now, I know of about 20
people who are planning to be there already, all of whom are great fun.
There'll also be a short lesson mid-way through, and plenty of people who're
just learning to dance will be there, so don't even think about being too
self-conscious to come out and strut your stuff in public! No one will make
fun of you (or even notice) if you don't do the steps exactly right, we
promise. :-)
2) Now, if you miss out on Sin City, there's also a dance opportunity this
Saturday that is NOT an official club event, but which a few of us will
likely show up at nonetheless. It's up in OKC at the International Dance
studio. Here's the text of the original e-mail we got from them:
This Saturday February the 24th, as promised, is our second party of the
month.
Let's have a great time and celebrate a belated Mardi Gras. Bring your
favorite
beads and BYOD (Bring your own drinks). $5.00 donation. We will provide
water,
sodas and light snacks. We look forward to seeing you!
