Subject:         organizational methods--question

Dear Janis,
We have a question about methods used to organize a
writing such as "cause and effect,"
"problem/solution," etc.  One of our reading benchmark
test questions listed "item order" as the correct
answer--used to describe a writing's organization.  It
seems to be used to indicate just a listing of
examples or details.  We were trying to find an
explanation for "item order."  Our textbooks don't
list it.  We wondered if the Constitution would be
written in "item order"  except the Bill of Rights
would seen to be "most important"!
