OWP Elementary Spring Writing Conference and
Celebration will be held March 27 at the JD McCarty
Center in Norman.  Each teacher may bring 5 students,
grades Pre-K through 6th.  (Sorry, space limits us to
no more than 5.) Teachers will receive more
information via e-mail when they register.

Guest speaker will be Anna Myers, the only two-time
winner of the Oklahoma Book Award.  Author of The
Keeping Room and Red-Dirt Jessie and other books for
third through eighth graders, Myers has been nominated
for the Sequoyah Award several times.  She lives in
Chandler, Oklahoma.

After Ms. Myers’ presentation, the Spring Celebration
will honor winners of the OWP Centennial Writing
Contest, their teachers and parents.  All participants
will receive a copy of the OWP Centennial Writing
Anthology.
