Hi everyone -

The minutes from yesterday's meeting are attached. Please send me any additions or corrections. Thanks to Gayland, Jerrod, Adam, Aaron, and Jeff for attending!

Our club site, http://www.w5tc.org, has been updated. Please note that 89er Day is this Saturday at Reaves Park. Also, 2009-10 officer elections are imminent - Jerrod will send out more information about that soon.

The good news is that we got a $1000 allocation from UOSA! This means we can buy an IC-718 and some other stuff (listed in the minutes) on or after July 1st.

Now for the bad news... We are having serious issues with low attendance at club meetings. It is embarrassing to invite guest speakers and then be able to count the number in attendance on one hand. I know that life happens, that it's getting towards the end of the semester, and that everyone is very busy with work and family. But one meeting a month doesn't really seem like that much to ask. Your participation *does* matter!!! I am also open to changing the meeting time. If the current meeting time (1st or 2nd Thursday at 7 p.m.) is a problem for you, please let me know what days and times would work better.

We're losing several key club members (including yours truly) to graduation and moving on within the next year. ***If we don't have enough people (10) to re-register the club next fall, we lose all of our UOSA-purchased assets*** including the cabinet, Buddipole, banner, and the allocation that we just received. So, please, please, please, attend club meetings, bring your friends, and get involved!

Thanks so much to all of you who have worked hard to build this club back up from dormancy. We need just a little bit more energy to sustain it!
