Good Afternoon:

This email is regarding a funding opportunity that may be of interest to some of you.  It is an ARRA Announcement that will be available soon, entitled “Licensure Portability Special ARRA Initiative” grants, to be funded under the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 (ARRA or Recovery Act), Public Law 111-5.   The purpose of the Licensure Portability Special ARRA Initiative is to provide support for State professional licensing boards to carry out programs under which licensing boards of various States cooperate to develop and implement State policies that will reduce statutory and regulatory barriers to telemedicine.  Approximately $1.5 million will be available under this opportunity.

Once announced, the time to reply to this announcement will be relatively short.  Thus, if you think your organization will have an interest in applying, then please let me know so we can alert you as soon as the grant announcement is made.  Please email me directly with your response so we don’t tie up the Listserve.  Also, if you would be interested in helping us to publicize the availability of funding under this announcement, please let us know as we greatly appreciate any help you might provide.
