With a valiant effort on the part of a few of our members, we were
able to operate for approximately 5 hours on Friday, the final day of
the contest. While not spectacular, for the time put-in, I'd say we
made a good showing for it.
Special thanks go out to:
Ken, N5KUK - for making sure we had an antenna with which to cook
the atmosphere
WX5NHC - for allowing us the use of their IC-7000, very nice rig,
indeed
Robin, KC0BSC - for getting permission to use the NWC Obs deck and
operating during the contest
Jarrod, KD5RAK - for operating during the contest
Nate, AE5IG - for operating during the contest
Aaron, WX5AB - for operating during the contest and use of the
logging computer
A reminder to club members that the National Weather Festival will be
held from 9am - 1pm at the NWC on November 8th. We will have a table
set up with radios to give a public demonstration of our great
hobby. Please plan on attending if you have the time to do so.
