After looking at the other websites, I have a couple of suggestions.
The Connecticut Writing Project website has a link on its opening page called "Examples of Workshop Topics," which, when clicked, lists in-service workshops, grouped in eight categories, plus a generic group. Although our OWP site does a link called "Inservice Catalog," which lists types of presentations, grouped under elementary and secondary, when you click on one of those categories, you get a paragraph on each presentation. It would be useful to do two things:
1. Make the Inservice Catalog link more prominent on the home page (it's vertical and not as noticeable because we don't normally read vertically) because the inservice workshops should be the life blood of the OWP. In fact, make it the most prominent link on the page, or at least one of the three or four featured items.
2. Like Connecticut have a list with just the workshop names for a reader to see at a glance; then enable the reader to click on any workshop to go to a paragraph explanation for that workshop.

Hello Teacher Consultants,
OWP and our tech liaison are working on a redesign of the OWP website. Below are some sample websites of other writing project sites. If you follow the link with ctrl + click. Please take the time to look at some of these and report back on the design features that you think would enhance the OWP website. Please send you responses to [log in to unmask]<mailto:[log in to unmask]>.
Thanks,
