If there is anyone interested in going to the OKC dancing tonight, it would
be great to do a little carpooling action! We could meet at the Union, or
some other gathering point, and ride up together?

Kelsey

So gang I dropped the ball. That's not to say that there won't be a ball, in fact there most assuredly will be. But I dropped it. Anyways, the deal is that the Union has booked all its rooms for tomorrow. Ironically, they've all been booked for dancing events. No kidding. We are not hosting our own event, but all of the following people are. In the Heritage and Frontier rooms, the UPB is hosting Hip-hop and Ballroom dance lessons and dancing. They start at our usual time, 8pm and last long enough to learn all about both styles of dancing. In the ballroom, the Norman Arts Council is hosting a ballroom lesson and performance. Their festivities start at 8pm and include hors d' oeuvres, wine and beer and live music by the Talk of the Town, a Big Band orchestra. Tickets are a bit pricey at $30, but I've heard their demonstrations are well worth it. Check out http://www.normanarts.org/ and http://www.normanarts.org/pdf/LETSRHUMBA.pdf for all the details. In Oklahoma City, for those of you inclined for a night out on the town, the OKC Ballroom Club is hosting a dance. A waltz lesson will be taught at 6:30 and open dancing will commence at 8pm. They are located 4361 NW 50th St, Suite 400 Oklahoma City, OK 73112 and charge a $10 cover. I remember this being reduced for students, but don't quote me on that. Check out http://www.okcswingdanceclub.com/ for more information. (Note, the OKC swing club and OKC Ballroom club are, in fact, two separate organizations, but they use the same building for thier events.) That's all for this week and I hope you can find some place suitable to dance.
