This is all immensely confusing?

Subject: Heartland Collaborative Leadership
Dear Colleagues,
On Monday or Tuesday, my Office of Research will send HRSA the attached letter. During a telephone call with Michele Puryear on February 25, I offered to relinquish the Heartland Collaborative Cooperative Agreement from the University of Oklahoma on May 31, 2010, to an as-yet unnamed institution.
The Heartland Advisory Board has not voted on a successor, but Michele seems to have picked Brad Schaefer, a superb choice, in my opinion. It appears that all 22 subcontracts have to be terminated. I shall make the transition as smooth as possible.
If orderly rotation of lead institution and program directors of Regional Collaboratives is a national goal, I hope the Heartland experience will inform the process.
Good luck for a noble enterprise. Cheers, John
