Greetings:
On April 20, Texas historian Phil Caudill will be visiting my Writing
Short Story class to talk a little about his forthcoming book, MOSS
BLUFF REBEL, and to answer questions. The book is a fascinating
account of a Texas rancher and poker player who served as an officer
in the Confederate Army during the Civil War.
I am cordially inviting any of you who might be interested to sit in.
Those of you who are graduate students intending to take Nonfiction
Book this fall should make an effort to attend, as I believe you will
find this talk most useful. The rest of you might also benefit from
hearing about promotion efforts and how the book was marketed to its
publisher.
Please let me know if you plan to attend. The class meets at 9:30
a.m. in GAYL 2025. We can probably accommodate about a dozen guests.
