Subject: Next Weekend!
Hello all--
I want to make sure that all of you are aware of the event we have going on
next weekend (June 2-3) here in OKC: the Oklahoma City Invitational. This is a
ballroom dance competition held by Brock Geeslin and David Martin,
instructors at the OKC Swing Club.
We have several people competing from our community, and I encourage all of
you to come out and support the event. To watch any of the competition
sessions, admission is FREE! So come out and cheer our folks on--competitiors
include Greg and Debbie Albert, Kathleen Porter Reese, Marcia Armstrong, and one
couple who shall remain nameless but their initials are B.O. and D.L. (OK, I was
asked not to mention them...but you all will see them in action if you come
out!) :)
The American Rhythm division begins at 8 pm on Friday, June 2nd. The
American Smooth division begins at 10:30 am on Saturday, June 3rd. Again, admission
to these events is FREE.
There will be a dance and show held on Saturday night; the cost is
$15/person. If you are interested in going to the dance and show, contact Brock Geeslin
at [log in to unmask] . Also, there will be a formal dinner before the
dance; if you would like to go to the dinner as well, you must contact Brock
Geeslin for reservations.
The competition will be held downtown at the Sheraton, at the corner of
Broadway and Sheridan.
