These virtual spaces will facilitate the debate of strategic issues
which link Information and Communication Technologies with social,
political and economic development in the Latin-American and Caribbean
countries. The ICAWFs will promote specialized debates with the object
of generating "Position Documents" where consensus, alternative
positions and recommendations for policies, strategies and actions will
be set out. The results of the work in the ICAWFs will be disseminated
among those who are in a position to make decisions for supporting the
strategy, policy and action planning processes to be implemented in the
different geographic areas of Latin America and the Caribbean.
Likewise, the experts' debates can be observed, followed or commented on
by men and women who are politically responsible, consultants and
technical experts in charge of formulating public or private policies
and strategies in the countries and regions of Latin America and the
Caribbean, and who will benefit from the results of the discussions and
reflections which take place in these virtual spaces.
The group of experts which will participate in the discussions will be
invited to do so by the Executive Coordination of the ICAWFs. For this
reason, those men and women who are interested in being on the list of
experts should send a brief description of their background to Roxana
Goldstein <[log in to unmask]>, who is helping with the Executive
Coordination.
The public interested in following the experts' discussions and
reflections can register in the ICAWF of their preference, at:

Estos espacios virtuales facilitarán el debate de temas estrégicos que
vinculan las Tecnologías de la Información y Comunicación con el
desarrollo social, político y económico de los países de América Latina
y el Caribe. Los ICAWF promoverán debates especializados con el objeto
generar "Documentos de Posición" donde se plasmen consensos, posiciones
alternativas y recomendaciones de políticas, estrategias y acciones. Los
resultados del trabajo en los ICAWF serán difundidos entre quienes
tienen la facultad para tomar decisiones con el objeto de apoyar al
proceso de planificación de estrategias, políticas y acciones a ser
implementadas en los distintos espacios geográficos de América Latina y
el Caribe.
Asimismo, los debates entre especialistas podrán ser observados,
seguidos o comentados por hombres y mujeres que se desempeñan como
responsables políticos, asesores y técnicos que tengan la
responsabilidad de formular las políticas y estrategias públicas o
privadas dentro de los países y regiones de América Latina y el Caribe,
beneficiarios de los resultados de las discusiones y reflexiones
llevadas a acabo dentro del estos espacios virtuales.
El grupo de especialistas que participará de las discusiones será
invitado por la Coordinación Ejecutiva de los ICAWF. Por ésta razón,
aquellos hombres y mujeres interesados en integrar la lista de
especialistas deberán enviar una breve descripción de antecedentes a
Roxana Goldstein <[log in to unmask]>, quien apoya a la Coordinación
Ejecutiva en ésta tarea.
El público interesado en seguir las discusiones y reflexiones entre
especialistas puede inscribirse al ICAWF de su preferencia,
registrándose en:
