Hey.
I sent this out to all the folks that tested with SCARS recently and it was
pointed out to me that I should send it to OUARC as well ... so ... here. :-)
Given the average age of SCARS members (83.35 years), help on the midnight
shift would be MOST appreciated. As is my custom, I will bring a case of
Red Bull for those that arrive for the late shift. Never touch the stuff
myself, but I understand it's good for 20 QSOs/oz.

Fellow radio amateurs:
Thank you again for participating in SCARS license class and/or
testing with the SCARS Exam Team. Now is the time to put that ham
license to work!
THIS weekend, June 23 & 24, is the annual ARRL Field Day exercise and
operating event and SCARS cordially invites you to visit and operate
at our Field Day site at Reaves Park in Norman.
Club members will operate for 24 hours starting at 1800 UTC (1 pm
local time). Setup will begin around 8 am with a meal planned around
the dinner hour.
We will have a "Get On The Air" station specifically for those of you
who are newly licensed.
More information about Field Day can be found here:
http://www.arrl.org/field-day This site also has a Field Day Site
locater for those of you who aren't near Norman - there will be sites
all over Oklahoma and the USA.
For directions to the SCARS site, see our website at http://w5nor.org/.
We look forward to seeing you there!
