Dear TC's:
To all you wonderful TC's who let me know you'd be
willing to present in the Special Ed conferences in
February and March:
The State Department (Special Ed Dept) did not get the
paperwork done in time for us to carry on with the
conferences. We've therefore had to cancel them.
They are offering us the opportunity to offer them in
April, May, and throughout the summer.
I have my doubts about how many teachers would be
wanting to attend staff development workshops in April
and May, but I will wait to hear back from the State
Department on whether they've had many inquiries from
teachers who responded to our mailings. At any rate,
my plan is to offer them once a month throughout the
school year next year--that is, if there are no new
changes in the No Child Left Behind requirements.
I've taken down the names of every one of you who
offered to present. I will send out another request
for presenters when I have some dates verified by the
State Department.
Thank you again for your willingness to give up a
Saturday. I'll be back in touch.
