I'm pleased to announce the official launch of Free Press and the
MediaReform.Network website. Free Press is a national organization
working to increase informed public participation in crucial media
policy debates. OURMedia is featured on our website at
http://www.mediareform.net.

Free Press's mission is to work with media reform and other
organizations to generate a range of policies that will produce a more
competitive and public interest-oriented media system with a strong
nonprofit and noncommercial sector. Our online network identifies
myriad media reform issues and how to get involved. It is indexed by
issue area, organization and geographic location and features
comprehensive information on media policy with links to groups across
the country.

We strive to provide the best and most comprehensive organization
listings possible. I hope that you can take the time to review the
information we have displayed and notify us of any corrections that may
be necessary. If possible, we ask you link Free Press from your website
and inform your members that www.mediareform.net is a new resource they
can use in their efforts.

As you know, there is tremendous work currently being done by many
groups to stop the proposed FCC rule changes. Please go to our website,
spread the word, fill out the petition, and help add to the 200,000
Americans who have weighed in on this crucial decision. Please don't
hesitate to contact us with questions, concerns or suggestions.

Looking forward to building a more democratic media together.

Sincerely yours,

Robert W. McChesney
