Español (resúmen): La ONG estadounidense Profesionales de Computadores por
la Responsabilidad Social (perdón por la traducción, pero no se me ocurre
otra mejor!) está organizando un taller muy interesante sobre la
participación ciudadana en negociaciones de acceso a las tecnologías de
información y comunicación (TICs), especialmente el cable.  El taller se
realizará en Seattle, EEUU el 25 de octubre con ponentes como Manuel
Castells y Dirk Koning(President, Alliance for Communications Democracy y
miembro de OURMedia). La idea del taller es concientizar a la sociedad civil
de esta zona sobre la necesidad de luchar por la re-apropiación de los
medios por parte de las comunidades. Hay posibilidad de participar en la
discusión sobre cuestiones del espectro electromagnético y acceso a TICs en
la discusion virtual previa a la conferencia en la siguiente lista
(desafortunadamente la discusión será sólo en inglés).
