One more excellent opportunity for a summer internship.
Deadline February 6.

Dear Program Director,

Greetings and Happy New Year! The Outreach Group at The Genome Institute at Washington University in St. Louis would like to remind you that we are now accepting applications for our program, Opportunities in Genomics Research (OGR). The OGR programs are directed to increasing the number of underrepresented students who pursue Ph.D.’s in genomics and related fields. OGR provides students with a mentored research experience at Washington University, as well as other engaging activities to prepare students for competitive Ph.D. programs.

We have two OGR programs that may be of interest to you, Undergraduate Scholars, an eight-week summer program and Extensive Study, a one-year post-baccalaureate program. Both programs include conducting research with premier investigators in genomics and genetics as well as disciplines such
as: cancer biology, molecular biology, immunology, and others. We provide a competitive stipend/salary, housing (summer program only), and travel to St. Louis.

Our application is now available online, http://genome.wustl.edu/outreach/programs. I have also attached a flier with additional program information.

OGR important dates to remember:
Application opens (all OGR programs) - Dec. 5, 2014 Early decision deadline - Feb. 6, 2015 Regular deadline – Mar. 20, 2015 Extensive Study deadline – May 1, 2015
