Hi folks!

Welcome back to OU Amateur Radio Club for the 2007-2008 school year! We made some great strides in the past year and I am looking forward to keeping up the momentum with your help!

First, we need to get the word out to the new students that we're here and we're doing great things! On Wednesday, Aug. 29th, we'll have a booth at the Howdy Week student organization recruiting event on the South Oval from 9 a.m. - 3 p.m. We'll operate a VHF/UHF and possibly an HF rig as demonstrations. We need volunteers to help set up the booth starting at 8 a.m. and to occupy it throughout the day. If you can help for a few hours, please contact Chris Pape ([log in to unmask])!

Second, our fall kick-off meeting is scheduled for Thursday, Sept. 6th at 7 p.m. at the shack in Cross Center D. (A map can be found at http://ouarc.ou.edu .) We'll be discussing our plans for the upcoming year, collecting annual dues ($15), and giving a tour of our reconfigured shack to the new members! If you have ideas for the club, please send them to me ([log in to unmask]) and I'll put them on the agenda!

Thanks!
