Greetings OUI! Listserv Subscribers New and Old,

It gives me great pleasure to announce the first show of our Fall 2004
season: OU Improv! (Obviously Unrehearsed Improv! or OUI! for short)
will perform on Saturday, August 28th, in the Oklahoma Memorial Union,
900 Asp Ave., on the University of Oklahoma Norman campus. The show is
scheduled to begin at 8 p.m. in the Union's Scholar's Room on the 3rd
floor.

OU Improv! usually performs only once a month, always on a Saturday at
8 p.m. in the Union. (Upcoming Fall performance dates listed below.)
Performances last approximately 90 minutes and include a 5-minute
intermission midway through the show. All performances are free and
open to the public. Audience participation is encouraged. Some content
may not be suitable for everyone.

For those interested in getting more involved, there will be an
informal audition session on Wednesday, September 1 from 7pm-10pm in
the Weitzenhoffer Room on the 2nd Floor of the Union. We need
andditional people on the stage and behind the scences. In addtion to
performers we need individuals to help out with publicity and
advertising for the group in addition to other administrative duties.

OU Improv! has been one of the University of Oklahoma's best-kept
secrets for the last three years. But, hopefully, not for much longer.
We're looking forward to our Fall 2004 season and plan on making this
a turning point for the group as we continue to streamline our shows
in an effort to bring our audience the best quality entertainment of
this kind around.

We combine elements of music, theater and group play to build
community and to foster a challenging, fun and relaxing outlet for
expression. OU Improv! welcomes new members and hopes to see you at
our next show.
