BEYOND THE THREE WEEKS OF ACTIONS
The Three Weeks of Action Campaign on Gender and Media
culminated last Wednesday March 8, 2006 with
simultaneous celebrations, round tables, discussion
groups, workshops, and media programmes all over the
world. The incredible response to the campaign shows
that Gender and Media matters to many and that both
women and men deserve to be represented in media in a
fair and balanced manner.

NATIONAL REPORTS
For the first time as part of the Global Media
Monitoring Project, some of the countries that took
part in the media monitoring have produced a National
GMMP report in their own language. Argentina, Bosnia
and Herzegovina, Germany, Guatemala, Hungary,
Montenegro, Peru, Portugal, Puerto Rico, the United
States, and 13 South African countries.

More than 70 outlets covered the Campaign worldwide!
Raising awareness on Gender issues within and through
the media is a main goal for all those participating
in the Three Weeks of Action. From Bangladesh to
