Dear friends and colleagues,

the programme for this year's OURMedia event has been finalized. You
can find it here:
http://www.iamcr.org/2013/OURMedia_IAMCR_Pre-conference.pdf.

The event ‘Dealing with Crisis: Community, Alternative, Citizens’ and
Social Media in Times of Change’ is a pre-conference to the annual
IAMCR conference, and it is organised by OURMedia, the Community
Communication section of IAMCR, Dublin Community Television, and the
Community Radio Forum of Ireland (CRAOL), in collaboration with the
Global Media and Social Change division of the ICA.

The pre-conference will be held June 24-25, with Day 1 at the
wonderful City Wall space in central Dublin and Day 2 at Dublin City
University where the main IAMCR conference will be held. The programme
also includes an evening event on June 24 at Liberty Hall, one of the
most iconic buildings in Dublin.

Our programme features a range of academic research papers dealing
with the pre-conference theme, along with panels, video presentations
and workshops that will be of interest to both scholars and local
media activists and practitioners. The pre-conference organising
committee has involved scholars from the Community Communication
section working closely with our Dublin friends from the Dublin City
Community Media Forum, Dublin Community Television and other local
groups.

The pre-conference is free and does not require registration. We hope
to see many IAMCR participants at the event, as well as other members
of the OURMedia network.

Best,
Arne
