Any OWP TCs interested in becoming active members of
any of these NWP Initiatives should let Priscilla or
me know.  We already have an active TIC network.  If
you're interested in becoming active in the Urban
Sites, Rural Sites, or ELL Network, please let me
know.  The governing board will support you if you'd
like to attend their annual conferences.

TIME TO JOIN OR RENEW MEMBERSHIP IN SPECIAL-FOCUS
NETWORKS ––
NWP special-focus networks invite writing project
sites to become members or to renew their membership
in the English Language Learners Network, Rural Sites
Network, Teacher Inquiry Communities Network, and
Urban Sites Network. Sites must be members to be
eligible for 2005-2006
minigrants.

APPLY NOW FOR SPECIAL-FOCUS NETWORK MINIGRANTS ––
The English Language Learners, Rural Sites, Teacher
Inquiry Communities, and Urban Sites networks offer
minigrant opportunities to strengthen sites’ work in
areas identified by the networks as part of their
mission. Funds provide modest support for projects
that promote leadership,
networking, and innovation among teachers and sites to
support student learning and writing. Apply online by
January 12, 2005.
