"Similes, Personification, Alliteration, Metaphors & Idioms"

Reading and Writing in the Content Area
Focus on Figurative Language

What does the state say you need to know about figurative language?
Rhythm, rhyme, alliteration, idioms, similes, onomatopoeia, metaphors,
hyperbole, personification, idioms, imagery, and symbolism.
That's all! These fun, entertaining, and hands-on activities will
provide you the skills needed to teach alliteration, personification,
similes, idioms and metaphors to your elementary students.
Objective: The strategies being presented are student centered.
They are meant to assist students in better understanding figurative
language.
