Well, the meeting was quite a big success, and it looks like it will be quite beneficial for the professional writing department as a whole.  Will and the others came up with a plan to pass a survey around to ask some basic questions about what drew them to the department, and what they'd like to see.  I'm sure Will or one of the others that actually took notes would be able to provide more information regarding that.  After looking at the surveys, we'll talk with the dean and see about how to best go about getting a share of that $15 million dollars that is available.
I unfortunately didn't stay the entire meeting, so hopefully someone who stayed and/or was better informed than myself can provide more details about the whole get together.
Speaking of get togethers, I'm having a pre-Thanksgiving Thanksgiving get together for anyone who is in town on Saturday and would like to do something like that.
