Cherio Mates,

Tomorrow, Tuesday, August 30th marks our first lesson of the semester. Beg pardon from returning members, but for all the new folks I need to hit all the high points. We begin at 6:30 pm in the Associates and Reagents room of the Union with the absolute basics of the Swing, Rumba and FoxTrot. Beginning lessons will last until 8pm when Candy Boone will commence intermediate instruction.

The rooms (we are actually in both as they are joined with a removeable partition) are located on the 3rd floor of the Union. They can be accessed from the North and Main East Stairwells. If you make your way to the hallway between the Ballroom and the attached Parking Garage, you should be able to follow your ears to the music.

You need no prior experience or partner to participate. We have a policy of rotating all partners to allow everyone to learn even when there is a number disparity between the genders. Dress is casual. The only recomendation is to bring shoes with soft, smooth soles. Tennis shoes or boots with heavy rubber tread will severely limit your dancibility and may result in injury. If you prefer, you may dance barefoot or in socks.

The cost for the entire session is $15 for students and $20 for non-students. This allows you to dance with both classes. Once again, the session lasts for five weeks. You may try your first lesson before deciding to pay, but we do ask everyone who comes to the second lesson be prepared to pay.

We are open to everyone who wishes to participate. Bring your friends and neighbors; the more the merrier. As a final errata, I must say that accomidations on the basis are available. For assistance, call or email me.

Likewise, don't hesitate to ask if you need further directions, have more questions, or simply don't understand the jive of my words.
Welcome to a new semester of dancing and, leastways, I hope to see you soon,
