That's not seriously the reason your email is late, but it sounded better than 'I'm lazy and then I forgot'.

Anywho, it's time for lesson three in Swing, Foxtrot and Rumba. Break it down:
Who: Sooner Ballroom Dance Club and You!
What: Foxtrot, Rumba, Swing lesson three
When: Tuesday Sept. 6th 6:30 pm
Where: Regeants and Associates rooms, Student Union Building 3rd floor
Why: Meet new people, learn new things, have fun! Why else?

I know I said we would be moving to the scholars room this week, but we're still in the Regeants and Associates room. For those of you who may not know, this is between the ballroom and the parking garage.

We will again be welcoming Candy Boone for our intermediate instruction. If you already know the basics, stick around for the intermediate lesson beginning at 8pm. As always, we will have more dancing after intermediate at 9pm.

I would like to welcome the 89 people who signed up for this list at publicity week. If you want to join in this week, don't worry about being behind as we always have enough review for one to jump in the middle of a session. Besides, life is more interesting with a little mystery. So come on out and join the fun.

So this friday, we have open dancing at 8:30pm in the Sarkey's Engery Center. We bring our stereo and our music and play any kind of dance music you may desire. There is no cost and it is open to everyone.

At 10pm, there is Salsa dancing at the Sante Fe Cattle Co. on Ed Noble Parkway, lasting until 2am. That's not the name of the street there, but it's off of I-35 in that area. This event is hosted by the Pan-Am student association and promises to hold some exciting times for everyone. Cover is reported to be $5. If you need a ride, there will be several people driving out after dancing at Sarkey's

If Tango is more your style, there is another event this Friday evening to be hosted in the Union Ballroom by the Norman Arts Council and Dance Makers studio from Oklahoma City. It is called Dance a l'Art and will include a 45 minute tango lesson and a floor show by the professionals from DanceMakers. Massive Hors'doeuvers and alcoholic beverages will be served. Tickets are $30 and must be purchased in advance. Visit http://www.normanarts.org/ for more information (don't contact us about ticket sales).

That's all for this week. Don't be a stranger,
Patrick Macklin
