Woo, weekly email #12 on the semester. Aren't we the gifted ones?

Who: Sooner Ballroom Dance Club and You!
What: 2nd lesson of Tango, Cha-Cha and Hustle
When: Tuesday Nov 15th 6:30 pm
Where: OU Student Union, Scholars Room, 3rd floor
Why: Meet new people, learn new things, have fun! Why else?

If you haven't paid for the session yet, we respectfully request that you do so at the second lesson. The cost for the new session is $15 for students and $20 for non-students. That covers lessons for this week, Nov 15th, 22nd, 29th and Dec 6th. We will be having intermediate lessons at 8pm following beginning each week. The cost for the session buys admission for both beginning and intermediate, so dance all you like. Also, those of you who only come to intermediate, please remember to pay your dues as well.

The Scholars room is on the 3rd floor of the Union building, on the North end between the Parking Garage and the Ballroom. It is carpeted, so soft soled shoes or heavy socks are highly recomended.

On thursday night there is a big band dance being held at Dance Makers studio. The cost is only $10 for 2 hours of dancing to the live stylings ofthe OKC metro area's premier bigband, the Talk of the Town Orchestra. Visit www.dancemakers.net for more information.

We do not have the Sarkey's atrium reserved for this week. This Friday night (November 18) we will be making our trip to Kongo's. The dance starts at 7 pm, and we have exclusive control of the music in the main dance room until 9 pm. We didn't quite spend enough the last time, so we will now have to pay a cover of $5. We had a great time last time, and I look forward to seeing everyone come out this Friday. Kongo's is located on 12th in Norman, just south of Robinson.

If this does not continue to increase in popularity, we likely won't continue making the effort. It is good for the club to spread ballroom dancing to the local dance scene and be involved in the rest of the community. Please come out and support Kate's efforts to get ballroom seen and recognized.

That's all that's on the calendar for this week. Stayed tuned for next weeks tenative schedul of dance events.
Remember to have fun,
Your dutiful, tardy president
Patrick Macklin
