Hello Everyone!

      As I mentioned after Tuesday's lesson, SBDC is planning on having a team for Big Event this year. For those of you who haven't participated before, Big Event is OU's annual campus-sponsored day of community service; various clubs and organizations on campus form teams and are sent off to volunteer at different work sites in the OKC-Norman metro area. Most projects involve landscaping around schools and parks, painting, sorting clothes at shelters, etc., and depending on where you work OU provides all the tools you'll need. Big Event is a great way to help out various deserving organizations in the metro, and you also get a free t-shirt and free lunch! Big Event 2013 will be Saturday, April 13th; it starts between 8-9 am and usually finishes between 2-3 pm. 

      If you'd like to join our team, send me an email at [log in to unmask] with your name and full student ID number, and I'll get you registered. If you have friends you want to work with who aren't members of SBDC, they're welcome to join us! Just send me their info and I'll get it set up. The deadline to send me your name and ID is February 20th.
