Hokay, so, here's the earth...

Last Tuesday saw the conclusion of our three piece set of Waltz, Salsa/Merengue, and Nightclub TwoStep. That means it's time for 3 new dances. Which three? Execelent question, thank you for asking, go to the head of the class.

Who: The Sooner Ballroom Dance Club and You!
What: First lesson (of five) in Tango, ChaCha and Hustle
When: 6:30pm Tuesday April 4th
Where: Scholars room of the Union, 3rd floor, north end between the Ballroom and the Parking Garage.
Why: To have fun! (Seriously, why else?)

The cost for the full, five week session is $15 for students and $20 for non-students. If this will be your first time joining us, you can try your first lesson risk free, pay us later if you enjoyed yourseld and want to come back or decide against it and never see us again :-( Otherwise, please come prepared to pay on the first night.

We will also be having an intermediate lesson that evening at 8pm under the tutelage of Candi Boone. The cost for intermediate is the same as beginning and you only have to pay for one. Try both! It's fun!

We will be having open dancing this Friday in Sarkeys with a free mini-lesson before hand. Show up in the west atrium at 8pm and dance until 10pm. Also, you might want to try Latin nights at Kongo's, starting this friday.

The Spring Ball is coming up on April 13th, which is next Thursday. Tickets are $6/person, $10/couple before hand and $8/person at the door. If you have paid dues twice (for two full sessions, not two single lessons) you are entitled to a free ticket. Show up at one of our events before the dance to claim it. There will be a beginning lesson taught over some Ballroom Basics from 7-8pm. At 8 o'clock, the music starts and the dancing proceeds. We will have live music by the Joe Whitecotton Jazztet and free refreshments (funded in part by Coca-Cola).

We need volunteers: MOST IMPORTANT: Please drop by the Ballroom the day of to help set up decorations. We will be looking to start at 10am or earlier. Past then, just show up. Also, if you are wling to sell tickets on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 10am-2pm. If you can donate some time, please email me saying when you are free.

Thanks everyone for making this semester a success. I hope to see you all soon and keep on dancing.
