Members, dancers, officionados all,
I hope your semester is winding up nicely and you can spare some time to come dance. As always, our lesson is scheduled for Tuesday 6:30pm. We are in the Scholars Room of the Union, 3rd floor, north end for our 3rd lesson in Tango, Cha-Cha and Hustle. Carpet warning: wear heavy socks or soft shoes and heavy rubber tread can cause discomfort when dancing on frictional surfaces.
Now for the really fun stuff. What could me more fun than dance lessons? . . . .
The 2nd Annual Moonlit Masquerade is this Wednesday, April 20th at 7pm. A Beginner Lesson will be held from 7-8pm with dancing to the live musical stylings of the Kip Curtis Quintet from 8-11pm. Masks or costumes are required. Masks will be available at the door for very reasonable prices ($1~$4). Bring your friends! Even if they don't know how to dance, they will be instructed in the basics and then can start having fun with it right away. Refreshments will be served.
Tickets for this event are $6/person $10/couple in advance and $8/person at the door. Tickets will be on sale Tuesday from 10-2pm in the Union, at a booth on the first floor. Check the food court, bookstore and crossroads. Tickets will also be available to purchase during the meeting and lesson tomorrow night from 6:30-9pm (see above).
If you would like to help, stop by the booth tomorrow some time and stick around to sell some tickets. Also, much help will be needed the day of, at either 10am or 2pm (watch for updates; availability of the ballroom is based upon a rain location for another, nominally outdoor event).
