Hey everyone!

We had our last club meeting of the summer this Tuesday, and we'd like to
thank all of you who came out and made all of the meetings this session such
great successes! That said, there is at least one more opportunity for us to
get together and dance this summer, this time at an actual dance club!
Tomorrow night, Kongo's Dance Club, 1001 Northeast 12th Ave, 7 pm - 9 pm
(and later), $5, be there or be square.

I know that some of you are familiar with the great ballroom dancing events
Kongo's has hosted over the past year, so you know how much fun they are.
Others of you probably never even dreamed that there was a ballroom dancing
venue here in Norman. I'm here to tell you that tomorrow, Friday night,
marks the last time until September that we will have this opportunity; some
changes are happening and Kongo's will be remodeling beginning in August. If
you've never been, I strongly encourage you to give it a try, and if you're
a familiar face who goes out with us all the time then I better darn well
see you out there tomorrow!

On another note, tomorrow night is also a good chance to show our
appreciation for Kate (Linkous), the go-getter who's been the driving force
behind ballroom dancing at Kongo's all year. She was instrumental in
acquiring the venue for us, and has arranged for Ross Pearce to come out and
teach the class tomorrow night. I've heard that he's fantastic, and the fact
that there's a lesson should make you folks who're timid about dancing in
public a little more comfortable, no? We're all learners here, some of us
have just been learning for a little longer!

ANYWAY. Come out, have fun, and enjoy the rest of the summer!

One of Your Many Dedicated Officers,
Erin
