The subject says it all. Well, the general part anyways. I guess that's why it's called the subject. Details for you:

Who: Sooner Ballroom Dance Club and You!
What: New Session of Tango, Cha-Cha and Hustle
When: Tuesday Nov 8th 6:30 pm
Where: OU Student Union, Scholars Room, 3rd floor
Why: Meet new people, learn new things, have fun! Why else?

The cost for the new session is $15 for students and $20 for non-students. That covers lessons for this week, Nov 15th, 22nd, 29th and Dec 6th. We will be having intermediate lessons at 8pm following beginning each week. The cost for the session buys admission for both beginning and intermediate, so dance all you like.

The Scholars room is on the 3rd floor of the Union building, on the North end between the Parking Garage and the Ballroom. It is carpeted, so soft soled shoes or heavy socks are highly recomended.

We have the Sarkey's Energy Center East Atrium reserved once again this Friday. Come on out Nov 11th, head down to the first floor of Sarkey's and join us for open dancing, free of charge.

Also, this is the formal announcement of the Winter Ball. Saturday, December the 3rd, we will be hosting the third annual Snow Ball in the Sam Noble Oklahoma Museum of Natural History. There will be a lesson at 7pm to teach the basics of ballroom to first timers and guests and dancing from 8-11pm to the music of the Joe Cotton Jazztet. Tickets are $6/person, $10/couple before hand and $8/person at the door. If you have paid dues twice this semester, you are entitled to a free ticket and can buy one extra at the $5 price. Refreshments will be available at no extra cost and the dancing is sure to be a blast. A flyer is attached.

If you are interested in helping make decorations, set up, tear down or publicize for this event, email me as soon as possible and let me know. We need to accquire security passes for all personel who will be working in official capacity for the club before or after the event.

That's it for this week. Let me know if I can help you with anything else.
Keep the dance alive,
Patrick Macklin
