Tomorrow evening is the second lesson of five in our Swing, Rumba, Fox-Trot series. From 6:30 to 8pm in the Scholars Room of the Union, we will be teaching beginning lessons in these dances. If you missed our first meeting we will have a recap so everyone can get caught up. So don't be shy and come on out. We ask that everyone pay their dues by the second lesson. To clear this up, dues must be paid once for the entire session of five weeks not once for every lesson. Dues are $15 for students and $20 for everyone else, including faculty, staff, members of the community etc.

We will be having an intermediate lesson immediately following the beginners. This will last for an hour, roughly from 8 to 9 pm. Intermediate lessons are open to anyone with previos ballroom experience, for example, completing at least one previous session with the club. Member dues cover attendence for both beginner and intermediate lessons.

The Scholars Room is on the third floor of the Union at the North end. It is between the Ballroom and parking garage. If you were to park on the top level of the garage and enter the Union, the scholars room would be the first room on your right after passing the elevator and through another set of double doors. Unfortunately, this room is carpeted. Flip-flops and thick rubber treaded sneakers are a bad idea as you can injur a knee or ankle performind a spin or turn on carpet. If you don't have a pair of soft soled shoes, a thick pair of socks will suffice.

We had a record turn out last week and I hope to see all return and have some more fun with us.
