Good evening one and all,

Just a reminder for our final lesson before summer. Tuesday May 3rd at 6:30pm beginning dance instruction will be given in Tango, ChaCha and Hustle in the Scholars room of the Union on the 3rd floor north end between the ballroom and the parking garage. An intermediate lesson will follow at 8pm. All outstanding dues should be paid at this time.

Somewhere in the middle-ish elections will be held for officer positions for the 2005-2006 school year. Offices available are President, Vice-President, Secretary, Treasurer, Publicity Co-Chairs, and Historian. We have at lease one candidate for each position and I expect all races to work out to be uncontested (one candidate only). All candidates are requested to attend for the full meeting tomorrow. Oral votes of confirmation will be held reguardless. If you cannot attend but would still like to run, please contact me with a statement that can be read on your behalf. Officers (barring withdrawals, transfers or sudden death) will be final after the conclusion of the meeting tomorrow. Jonathan, Andrew is willing to hold the Office of the Treasury again; interested in a Coordinater of Special Events or some such?

There will be roughly a one month recess before summer lessons will begin. Beginning lessons for all dances will be given in three sessions of four weeks. Dues will remain the same ($15 for students, $20 for non per session [four weeks]) during this time. Watch for lessons to begin the second week of summer session (not intersession) around June 14th.

Winter and Spring balls have already been set for next year. The 3rd annual dances will be held on Thursday December 8th and Thursday April 20th of the next school year.

There will be no dancing this Friday in the Atrium of the Sarkeys Energy Center is observation of dead week. If you have any other events that you feel are appropriate to announce on the list (like, dances?) please continue to forward the information to me. I'll be seeking a volunteer who will be here this summer to take over this duty (all emailings) for the summer.
