To all current SCC members ---

To officially inaugurate the SCCMLA distribution list, we present the following important announcements. If you have any questions or comments, please contact either Joy Summers-Ables, list manager, at [log in to unmask] or Jon Crossno, database manager, at [log in to unmask] .

Newsletter

The April 2008 issue of the South Central Connection is now available at http://www.sccmla.org/newsletter/eApr08.pdf . This issue contains information about the upcoming MLA meeting in Chicago, a first look at the 2008 annual meeting in Dallas, and much more. Remember, you no longer need a password to read the newsletter; however, other sections of our site are still password-protected.

Also, all issues of the chapter newsletter (from 1980 to the present) have been digitized and are now available on the SCC Web site at http://www.sccmla.org/newsletter/newsletter_top.htm . So feel free to peruse them at your leisure and experience a bit of history!

Password Change

Effective May 6, 2008, the password to the "Members Only" section of the SCC Web site has changed to "wings08" (without the quotation marks) in honor of the upcoming meeting in Dallas.

Wondering why we chose that word? Well, find the answer by looking at our meeting logo, which can be seen on the meeting Web site at http://www.sccmla.org/Meetings/Meeting_2008 .

Membership Directory

Use the new password to access the online Membership Directory and view or download the PDF version, which includes 332 members as of March 7, 2008. Please remember that the online directory contains more current membership information, but the PDF version includes information about SCC/MLA and affiliated organizations.

To access the directory, just go to http://www.sccmla.org/limited_access/membership_top.htm and click on "Membership Directory". Once you enter the password and click OK, you can select how you want to view the directory from the options on the left.
