<DIV>in order to get this thing going, we're gonna have to move pretty quick. national banned book week is sept 22-29, so that leaves us with less than a month. some of the things we'd like to get done this year include live readings throughout the day outside at the south oval with information about censorship and banned books. along with that, as many banned books as we can find to have available. at the bottom of this email are some websites that have lists of books that have been banned in the past or are still banned. there are lots of others that aren't on the lists however. please see what you have in your own personal libraries and in others that would accessible to you. </DIV>

<DIV>another aspect we were discussing was to have faculty and staff read either outside during the day if they were interested, but also inside at the gittenger hall lounge where we could set up some sort of lecture type discussions/readings if some of the faculty were interested in doing that. if anyone is interested in helping me contact the faculty/staff around the university in this matter, i'd most appreciate it. </DIV>

<DIV>besides these things, we're also discussing buying a lot of soda "banned" at OU (dr.pepper, pepsi, etc.) and giving it away for a small donation w/ profits to go to a literacy program and perhaps a bake sale. </DIV>
