hey everyone,

 

for those of you who haven't heard the news yet, our steering committee has decided to take a sabbatical for an undetermined amount of time. the meeting was adjourned after the announcement, and the plan of action for the rest of the semester has not been discussed as of yet. it is of my opinion that we should hold elections at next weeks meeting to fill the positions and then debate where to go from there. i  offer my services as facilitator of meetings until we do elections. anyone who is interested in voicing their opinions on the future of ssec should definitely attend next weeks meeting and we'll just go from what is decided there. i think, however, we should stick to discussing the bulk of such things at the meeting, not the list serve--i have lots of reasons for this, however, i'm sure most people can figure them out.
anyways, i hope to see everyone thurs.at eight.
