The Perl meeting can be in the room next to Alan's office, B117 (I think that's the number). It's ideal for 8-10 people. I'll loan a projector. Don't forget to read the the first 7 chapters ;-) Unfotunately, I have to be in Ardmore on Wednesday... I'm rarely out of the foundation, so most Wednesdays are still best for me. I'll just borrow someone's notes. Alan, you can bring a laptop or do finger puppets in the light. Directions: For those of you in the main buildings, head down the tunnel out into the P1 garage. Once out into the garage, turn right and head towards the steel double doors. This takes you straight into the first floor of the Bell building. Just go straight down towards the elevator at the end of the hall. The room is on your left just before you get to the foyer. Don't forget your access card since you'll be finished after 5 p.m. Quyen ------- budding Perl guru -----Original Message----- From: Alan Shields To: [log in to unmask] Sent: 3/21/03 5:55 PM Subject: Perl We've got 5 people who want to show, and the mutually convenient time seems to be 4:30p on Wednesday. If anyone would else would like to come along, that would be fine too. If you don't know whether or not it will be too heavy for you, show up for the first one and see how it is. Once again, Wednesday at 4:30p. Every week. I'm working on a location. The conference room would be great if we could get it. How would we go about getting such a thing? If we can't get *the* conference room, there is a conference room right next to me, we just need a portable projector so I can put "stuff" on the screen. Believe me, you do NOT want to have me try to tell you what to type in for Perl. Bad juju. (example line: my @arr = /(\d+)\D+(\d+)/; ) As I said before, anyone is welcome. It starts this coming week (March 26th) if that's okay with everyone. Alan
