Professional Executives (NATPE) Educational Foundation in association with the
National Academy of Television Arts &amp; Sciences (NATAS) will host a Student
Career Workshop for university and college students interested in a career in
television.<SPAN>&nbsp; </SPAN>The event, sponsored by
Carsey-Werner-Mandabach, will be held at KPIX-TV in San Francisco on November

</SPAN>As an Educational Foundation event free to students, the Student Career
Workshop will present a prestigious local panel of speakers to work with and
educate students for a day, offering valuable insight about the television
industry and what it takes to break into the field.<SPAN  >&nbsp; </SPAN>Speakers attending include Dan Krauss,
graduate student and freelancer for "Frontline/World"; Janice Edwards, community
relations director, NBC 11 and host and producer of "Bay Area Vista" and
"Community Focus"; Karen Orofino, general sales manager, KRON-TV; Kira Vilanova,
marketing and communications manager, Ch.14 KDTV (Univision) and Ch. 66 KFSF
(TeleFutura); Lloyd LaCuesta, South Bay bureau chief, KTVU-TV; Lynn Friedman,
editor, KGO-TV ABC 7 and many others.<SPAN>&nbsp;

chapter president and Rick Feldman, president and CEO of NATPE.<SPAN  >&nbsp; </SPAN>The free event will include a
continental breakfast and lunch for students.<SPAN  >&nbsp; </SPAN>As part of an ongoing series of student
seminars, the Student Career Workshop has also been held nationwide in cities
including New York, Los Angeles, New Orleans and Miami.<SPAN  >&nbsp; </SPAN>The NATPE Educational Foundation has
planned a minimum of 15 workshops to be held for students over the next three

Workshop, the Educational Foundation holds its annual Student Video &amp; Film

California State University Los Angeles, Scott Vosbury of New York's Rochester
Institute of Technology's School of Film &amp; Animation and Ben McNeill of Bond
University in Queensland, Australia, the first ever international student award
