Communication/Applied Communication
Tenure-track position in communication, at the rank of Assistant
Professor, to begin August 2004. Primary emphasis in family and
interpersonal communication. Secondary emphasis in intercultural and
small group communication. The person in this position will teach
undergraduate courses in the new applied communication curriculum, as
well as teach core courses for communication majors. Expected to
contribute to a M.A. program in Corporate and Public Communication.
Qualifications: Ph.D. in communication, a clear research agenda,
student centered teaching experience, evidence of scholarship
appropriate to teaching specialty, and collegiality suitable to a
department with the reputation of giving personal attention to
students. Candidates who are committed to creating a more diverse

Monmouth University is an independent non-sectarian undergraduate and
graduate institution. The University has over 200 full-time faculty and
more than 50 degree programs serving 6,000 students. Monmouth is
located in the media rich central New Jersey coastal area within 90
minutes of Manhattan and Philadelphia. The Department of Communication
is a dynamic growing department with 20 faculty, serving 600
undergraduate majors and 60 graduate students with an MA in Corporate
and Public Communication.
