Subject: [SCATFAC] Senior Associate Dean Search

As you all know, Senior Associate Dean Jeff Rush is resigning at the end of this school year to pursue some of the research projects he has been anxious to get going on. As a result of this very substantial loss we are advertising for a Senior Associate Dean for Academic Affairs and I wanted to share the announcement with you for two reasons. First, anyone fitting the criteria in the ad, whether internal or external to SCAT, is more than welcome to apply and the Search Committee would be happy to see your application. Second, a successful search is best assured by having everyone in the school actively serving as the eyes and ears of the search committee by seeking out those you think might be qualified and/or interested and urging them to apply. The Search Committee is not afraid of a little extra work so -- please -- actively recruit good applicants. The members of the Search Committee [Sandy Kyrish, Linda Chorney, Pat Bradley, LeAnn Erickson and Carl Botan] will be happy to answer any questions you, or others, may have.

For the Committee,
Carl Botan, Chair
